In the western world, many of us are so well fed, looked after, medically treated and rich, that my peers and I will live at least 25 years longer than we thought we would. I’m turning 100 – not anytime soon, but in half a century I will, definitely.

When I grew up I was taught to always follow my heart. This felt like perfect advice. And I followed my heart, or so I thought. As I believed I was listening to what my heart told me, what I really followed were my emotions.
I have been Doing a lot lately. I managed a relocation from Sydney to Canberra in March. I furnished a new house. I’ve familiarised myself with a new environment. I have studied hard to finish a HR Management course in April. I was in the Doing for a long time.
I live in Canberra now. I love it. The streets are wide. The air is fresh. The landscape is natural. The colours are brown, grey, green and light blue. My village is small. I went grocery shopping yesterday and was loving the smaller scale of everything here, compared to Sydney.
