Human Resources Practitioner

After graduating in HR Management I became a professional member of the Australian HR Institute (MAHRI). I joined the HR team at CARE Australia, an international humanitarian aid organisation active in seven countries in the Pacific and Mekong areas.

We’re a small team of three which is great as I have a myriad of responsibilities in Recruitment, On-boarding, Induction and Orientation, Payroll, Policy Review, Reporting, Training and Staff Development, Performance, Deployment of Emergency staff, and Advising of- and Liaising with stakeholders in a complex and challenging international environment. I improve the on-boarding and induction experience and triennial three day international Orientation Program as well as communication and workplace culture, the exiting experience and Work Health and Safety awareness.

In May 2019 I’ll commence the AHRI Practising Certification Program which I plan to complete in December 2020. I’ll make a great start to 2021 as Certified HR Practitioner (CPHR).

I’m passionate about Employee Wellbeing. One of the things I do to improve employee wellbeing is offering guided meditation sessions to staff. People benefit greatly from these sessions and return to their desks relaxed and refreshed, better able to deal with the professional challenges they face.

Work Health and Safety and Rehabilitation, Learning and Development, and Performance Management are my preferred areas.
